Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead the safe and compliant operation of the distillery, ensuring HSE, quality, food safety, and regulatory standards across fermentation, distillation, and liquid handling processes.
  • •Complete production plans to deliver required volume and quality of rum, partnering with Planning, Maturation, and Operations to meet demand and priorities.
  • •Monitor and optimize distillation performance, including fermentation, process control, yield, spirit quality, and loss reduction to meet specifications.
  • •Partner with Engineering and Reliability teams to improve asset performance, minimize downtime, and enhance production efficiency through proactive maintenance and continuous improvement.
  • •Lead, coach, and develop the distillery team, and drive continuous improvement initiatives across safety, quality, efficiency, sustainability, and cost performance.

Key Requirements

  • •Extensive experience in distillation, brewing, fermentation, beverage alcohol, food manufacturing, chemical processing, or other process manufacturing environments.
  • •Strong understanding of process operations, manufacturing controls, and safe production practices in a regulated environment.
  • •Demonstrated experience leading operational or shift-based teams while delivering production plans with high safety, quality, and compliance standards.
  • •Experience working cross-functionally with Planning, Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, and HSE teams to optimize production performance and resolve operational challenges.
  • •Experience with process control systems or manufacturing technologies such as SAP, MES, SCADA (or similar digital manufacturing platforms) is highly regarded.
