Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide electronic technician services to FAA FAALC product divisions to support electronic system/subsystem/component serviceability, reliability, and availability.
  • •Perform troubleshooting, repair, assembly, refurbishment, installation, calibration, and testing of electronic components and equipment.
  • •Assist with test fixture and prototype design, and analyze equipment performance with data collection and installation.
  • •Complete tasks per applicable FAA/FAALC standards, orders, and technical instructions.
  • •Handle standard administrative duties such as recording time/leave/training completion and completing assigned tasks under supervision and guidance.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum High School diploma/GED with formal technical training OR an Associate Degree in Electrical or Engineering Technology.
  • •Two years of practical experience in an electronics technician support position (troubleshooting, repairing, assembling, testing, installing electrical/electronic systems).
  • •Familiarity with basic electronics test equipment (e.g., multimeter, oscilloscope, signal generator, AC/DC power supply, power meter).
  • •Proficiency in through-hole soldering/de-soldering.
  • •Able to identify and interpret basic analogue/digital circuit schematics and symbols and perform basic electronics troubleshooting (measure volts/current/resistance; identify opens/shorts/grounds).
