Job Summary

Join The Exploration Company as an Environment Health and Safety Engineer to support EHS compliance across projects for Nyx, a modular space orbital vehicle. You will ensure adherence to French, EU and local regulations, implement safety programs, conduct audits, lead risk analyses, and develop emergency response plans while promoting a strong safety culture across all functions and teams.

Job Function: Administration & Executive Assistance

Key Responsibilities

•Ensure the organization complies with all relevant environmental, health, and safety regulations and standards set by local, national, and EU agencies; manage mandatory trainings and documentation for French governmental agencies
•Support the implementation and maintenance of comprehensive safety programs and policies to minimize workplace hazards and ensure a safe working environment
•Conduct regular inspections and audits of facilities, equipment, and processes to ensure ongoing EHS compliance and identify opportunities for improvement
•Propose improvements to the EHS system and monitor KPIs to pursue a zero-accident policy
•Assist with proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials and waste to minimize environmental impact

Key Requirements

•Bachelor's degree in environmental health and safety management or a closely related field
•First experience in an EHS role, preferably within aerospace, oil & gas, automotive or similar
•Knowledge of French EHS regulations (Code du travail; ICPE)
•Experience with risk assessment methodologies, safety audits, and incident investigation
•Knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001
