Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide group direction and thought leadership across emerging transportation planning areas, including transit, complete streets, and resilience planning.
  • •Oversee use and quality of transportation and traffic data to assess modal operations and impacts, using multiple data sources and visualization inputs.
  • •Lead larger, more complex transportation planning projects, including budgets, profitability/performance tracking, and supervision of subcontractors, contracts, and employees.
  • •Manage multi-disciplinary project teams across execution and delivery phases such as siting, impact assessment, approval, and permitting.
  • •Drive long-term strategy and growth for transportation planning work, including pursuit strategy, proposal development, technical contract negotiations, and client base development.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Transportation Planning, Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • •15+ years of corporate experience in transportation planning, including general and master plans, zoning code updates, public involvement, and regulatory compliance.
  • •Strong knowledge of approval zoning laws, permitting requirements, notification and compliance practices, and regional/state/federal regulatory frameworks.
  • •Excellent leadership and interpersonal communication skills for interacting effectively with employees at all levels.
  • •Demonstrated analytical skills and ability to elicit cooperation from senior management, clients, and staff without formal hierarchy.
