Job Summary

Join the Health, Science & Education Cost Management team to support a high-profile Life Sciences project within the London Real Estate business. Deliver end-to-end cost management from pre-contract through handover, including estimating and cost planning, tendering and procurement, cost reporting, change control support, and negotiating final accounts. You’ll work across public and private healthcare projects and interface closely with clients and consultants throughout each stage.

Key Responsibilities

•Take responsibility for end-to-end service delivery as Senior Cost Manager or act as a key element of a wider project team on larger/complex projects.
•Deliver cost management from pre-contract through handover to ensure client objectives are met.
•Manage tendering and procurement, including pre-qualification, tender analysis, and compiling contractual documents.
•Handle post-contract cost variances and change control processes, ensuring timely and accurate cost checks and valuations.
•Produce monthly post-contract cost reports, support value engineering input, and negotiate and agree final accounts; lead junior team members when appropriate.

Key Requirements

•Degree qualified in construction, cost management, or quantity surveying.
•MRICS qualification preferred and/or relevant experience.
•Experience in healthcare and/or education sector projects.
•Ability to lead clients through project stages from feasibility to completion and manage two-stage tendering projects.
•Experience with JCT and NEC contracts, producing monthly post-contract cost reports, and managing procurement and final accounts negotiation.
