Job Summary

Deliver civil engineering design for municipal infrastructure and land development projects in Southern Alberta. Based in the Medicine Hat office, you’ll prepare technical reports, cost estimates, and design documentation; collaborate with multidisciplinary teams; and support project approvals with clients, municipalities, and regulatory bodies. You’ll also mentor junior engineers and promote sustainable, forward-thinking approaches that improve environmental resilience and long-term community safety.

Key Responsibilities

•Apply civil design expertise to deliver integrated municipal infrastructure solutions including water supply, wastewater collection, stormwater management, and transportation corridors.
•Prepare detailed engineering deliverables such as technical reports, cost estimates, and design documentation.
•Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support coordinated and efficient project execution.
•Mentor junior engineers and technologists in a collaborative, high-performing team environment.
•Engage with clients, municipalities, and regulatory bodies to support project approvals and maintain working relationships; champion sustainable engineering approaches.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: 94,100 - 138,000 annually

Key Requirements

•15+ years of progressive engineering experience in municipal infrastructure, water resources, and land development.
•Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering and registration as a P.Eng. in Alberta.
•Proven experience delivering technically complex projects.
•Strong expertise in technical writing, including design reports, cost estimates, and regulatory documentation.
•Solid understanding of municipal bylaws, development approvals, and regulatory frameworks.
