Build and evolve Help Scout’s next-generation large-scale search and reporting services within the Search and Data Services team. Work on streaming data pipelines and improve search relevancy, data indexing, and cost control while scaling systems 10x beyond current load. Partner across Engineering, Product, and Design through code reviews and architecture discussions, and support production readiness with strong testing, automation, monitoring, alerting, and logging.

Key Responsibilities

•Join the Search and Data Services team to build the next generation of large-scale search and reporting service infrastructure.
•Evolve systems to reliably scale 10x beyond current load, including streaming data reports pipelines.
•Build new features and improve existing systems and data pipelines with focus on scalability, testing, and maintainability.
•Participate in the development lifecycle from design and implementation decisions through testing strategies and backlog prioritization, collaborating via code reviews and architectural discussions.
•Provide engineering support when issues escalate beyond the support team and help improve the product using customer insights.
