Key Responsibilities

  • •Solicit bids for appraisal/valuation services and engage fee appraisers for valuation assignments as needed.
  • •Independently review real estate appraisal/valuation reports and prepare Standard 3 review or compliance review as appropriate.
  • •Ensure appraisals are reasonable, credible, and prepared in compliance with federal and state regulatory requirements and professional standards.
  • •Support internal and external audits and assist with ad hoc projects or analyses requested by the Commercial Real Estate Appraisal Manager.
  • •Act as an advisor and resource for appraisal vendors and Webster colleagues; maintain appropriate licensing through continuing education.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 110,000 - 125,000

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree from an accredited higher education institution in a related field (required).
  • •State Certified General Appraiser license in good standing (required).
  • •Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial real estate appraisal/valuation or appraisal review (review experience within a regulated financial institution preferred).
  • •Knowledge of industry standards, practices, compliance, and regulations relevant to appraisal and valuation.
  • •Proficiency with appraisal management software (e.g., C360, RIMS) and financial modeling in ARGUS Enterprise (preferred), plus strong accuracy and attention to detail.
