Key Responsibilities

  • •Proactively commission new professional and academic books and editions to meet market needs and annual commissioning/revenue goals.
  • •Manage the frontlist program of new manuscripts through production and publishing, meeting publishing goals and deadlines with editorial assistants.
  • •Collaborate with a global editorial team to develop and maintain strategy for the Psychology list and wider Psychology team strategy.
  • •Develop awareness of different products and publishing formats and maintain understanding of business objectives.
  • •Build and manage relationships with authors and work cross-functionally with editorial, journals, production, marketing, rights and sales colleagues; attend UK/overseas events to strengthen subject knowledge and relationships.
