  • •Continuously improve the forecast for Box’s public cloud spend and SaaS/AI services.
  • •Lead an engineering-first FinOps team building scalable tooling, pipelines, and models on GCP/BigQuery with Python/SQL.
  • •Translate usage, telemetry, and cost signals into clear, actionable insights for executives and engineering partners.
  • •Identify and drive cloud cost optimization initiatives, influencing partner teams and protecting outcomes when tradeoffs arise.
  • •Establish operating rhythms, dashboards, and metrics; coach senior ICs on code quality and analytical rigor, and partner cross-functionally across Cloud Ops, SRE, Data, and Finance.

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years of engineering management experience leading mid-to-senior ICs.
  • •Hands-on engineering background with fluency in Python, BigQuery, and SQL.
  • •Deep experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or equivalent public cloud platforms, with ability to ramp quickly on GCP.
  • •Proven track record managing and analyzing very large datasets to produce accurate forecasts and recommendations.
  • •Background in FinOps, SRE, data engineering/science, or internal tooling for cloud platforms.
