Key Responsibilities

  • •Program and operate a CMM using PC DMIS or QCT to inspect components and assemblies.
  • •Inspect purchased components against company drawings/specifications based on purchase orders.
  • •Inspect in-house manufactured components/assemblies and perform pre-delivery inspections of finished assemblies.
  • •Liaise with Quality Engineers and shop supervision when reject parts or quality problems are identified.
  • •Maintain inspection functions within SAP, ensure measuring equipment is calibrated, and segregate faults/deviations for corrective action.

Key Requirements

  • •Apprentice trained with minimum of 5 years working in an Engineering environment.
  • •ONC or HNC qualification.
  • •Experience with Computer Measuring Machines (CMM), with PC DMIS desirable.
  • •Knowledge of first principal inspection methods (micrometre, vernier, etc.).
  • •Experience using SAP Quality Management.
