Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide quality safe clinical care in the emergency centre through assessing, diagnosing, treating, and disposition according to best practice standards.
  • •Support and adhere to nursing staff application of triage in the emergency centre.
  • •Assist with teaching and coordinating clinical development programmes to improve patient care.
  • •Actively participate in company strategies such as PatientsFirst@Mediclinic.
  • •Participate in emergency centre quality improvement and quality assurance initiatives to ensure safe, quality patient care.

Key Requirements

  • •ESSENTIAL EDUCATION: MB BCh/MB ChB.
  • •Completion of internship and community service years.
  • •Previous work experience post community service year in an emergency centre in private/public hospital.
  • •Advance Trauma Life Support, Advanced Paediatric Life Support, and Advanced Cardiac Life Support knowledge.
  • •South African clinical compliance knowledge (e.g., HPCSA regulations/guidelines, National Health Act, Patients' Rights Charter).
