Job Summary

Coordinate and deliver Life & Health (L&H) actuarial reporting for the Singapore branch, including IFRS 17 and local GAAP outputs, reserving governance, and liaison with global actuarial stakeholders. Key Responsibilities

•Coordinate, review, and deliver actuarial reporting for the Singapore L&H business (IFRS 17 and local GAAP), ensuring quality, evidence, and appropriate escalation.
•Act as the local coordination point for the Certifying Actuary workstream, supporting actuarial inputs, analyses, evidence, and preparation of the Actuarial Report.
•Oversee and enhance L&H reserving methodologies and processes, ensuring alignment with global approaches and compliance with Singapore regulatory requirements and standards.
•Review and challenge actuarial analyses and assumptions from the local actuarial team, including experience studies, portfolio analytics, and material judgements.
•Take on limited dotted-line management responsibilities: lead the local operating model (allocation, prioritisation, capacity planning), coach team members, and build stakeholder relationships with finance and auditors.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, or a related quantitative discipline.
•Fellow or Associate of a recognised actuarial professional body (e.g., FIA, FSA, FIAA, DAV).
•At least 8 years of L&H insurance or reinsurance experience, including at least 3 years post-qualification across reserving, valuation, reporting, assumptions, analytics, and governance.
•Strong IFRS 17 expertise with sound understanding of L&H financials, reserving, pricing, and regulatory frameworks.
•Advanced Excel skills; knowledge of actuarial modelling platforms (e.g., RAFM, Prophet/FIS, AXIS) and familiarity with tools (e.g., Python, R, SQL, SAS) are advantageous.
