Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform imam or preacher duties as assigned in accordance with mosque schedules, including leading prescribed prayers and delivering sermons from prepared texts
  • •Oversee opening/closing of the mosque, ensure lights are off and mosque facilities and library are maintained
  • • supervise mosque staff and activities to ensure appropriate conduct and compliance with ethical guidelines
  • • Prevent fundraising activities and food gatherings in the mosque and uphold religious etiquette and code of conduct
  • •Read Friday khutbah from paper and adhere to time limits and guidelines for sermons

Pay and Benefits

Salary: AED 7,000 monthly

Key Requirements

  • • memorize one part of the Quran and have proficiency in tajweed and recitation
  • • ability to deliver khutbah and sermons as required by duty
  • • capability to open/close the mosque, manage cleanliness and facilities
  • • adhere to ethics and code of conduct for religious roles and avoid fundraising or meals in the mosque
  • • follow official guidelines for performing prayers and reading Friday sermon from prepared text
