Lead chemical mechanical planarization (CMP) process development from concept through high-volume manufacturing across Intel’s advanced logic nodes, driving cross-node standardization to improve efficiency and yield. Partner with integration, device, yield, factory, quality, and customer engineering teams, and collaborate with equipment and consumables suppliers to transfer technology smoothly to production.

•Drive cross-node alignment by standardizing CMP best practices to maximize efficiency and yield.
•Own and resolve complex CMP-related yield and manufacturing issues using data-driven, structured problem solving.
•Align technical strategies with customer requirements and business objectives to ensure on-time delivery of robust solutions.
•Collaborate across teams (Integration, Device, Yield, Factory, Quality, Customer Engineering) and with suppliers to transition CMP processes to production and mentor junior engineers.

Key Requirements

•Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field.
•5+ years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing/process development or technology development.
•3+ years of direct CMP process development experience, including hands-on process tuning and characterization.
•Experience with major CMP equipment platforms (e.g., AMAT, Ebara).
•Experience with CMP consumables (e.g., slurries, pads, conditioning disks, filters, clean chemistries) and previous semiconductor foundry experience.
