Key Responsibilities

  • •Directly supervise and mentor a small team of 5–6 Jr. and Sr. electrical engineering technicians, including day-to-day direction, performance reviews, and 1-on-1s.
  • •Set team culture and onboarding, coaching, and development plans, including input on leveling and technical growth paths.
  • •Lead hands-on electrical lab work: build wire harnesses, assemble/modify PCBs, and assist engineers with test and integration activities.
  • •Build and modify complex cable and wire harness assemblies (crimping, soldering connectors, routing per documentation) and perform precision PCB rework under a microscope.
  • •Execute comprehensive test plans and troubleshoot/determine failures down to the component/assembly level; document results, rework actions, and failure modes.

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years of hands-on experience in electronics/power systems testing, assembly, and rework in an R&D or production environment.
  • •People-leadership experience influencing, directing, and developing a small technical team.
  • •Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, assembly drawings, wiring diagrams, BOMs, and technical datasheets.
  • •Proficiency in fine-pitch SMT and through-hole soldering with IPC J-STD-001 (or equivalent) for PCB rework and component replacement.
  • •Experience building/modifying complex cable and wire harness assemblies and diagnosing electronic failures to the component level using test equipment and documentation.
