Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead/SME to participate in regular customer meetings, procedural reviews, audits, and other functions
  • •Review and interpret EDPs and as-built engineering documentation
  • •Coordinate and track RMA requests, including vendor interface to obtain RMA authorization
  • •Interface with fiber vendors, telecom providers and other entities on complex technical matters
  • •Coordinate and activate new network circuits; manage long-haul, metro and international optical networks

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum of 5+ years’ experience with Optical long-haul and metro transport networks, DWDM wavelength systems, Ethernet, VPLS, IP, MPLS
  • •Troubleshooting Layer 1 backbone equipment and fiber, alarm flow, fault isolation
  • •Broad experience with vendor platforms for optical networks – Infinera, Ciena, Cisco, Lucent, Fujitsu
  • •Preferred Cisco CCDA/CCNA certifications, Juniper or Nokia data networking equivalent
  • •Associate degree in Engineering, Electronics, Software, or Networks; or related technical education or seven+ years of experience
