Key Responsibilities

  • •Maintain strong communication with operational managers to ensure equipment needs are met and attend local staff meetings as required.
  • •Manage equipment cost control by overseeing and authorizing purchases of parts, supplies, and outside repairs, and handle accurate work and billing.
  • •Ensure equipment repairs and preventive maintenance are completed effectively, efficiently, and on time, including managing outside repairs.
  • •Maximize equipment and mechanic utilization by monitoring equipment utilization and unbilled equipment hours, and scheduling repairs based on regular field inspections.
  • •Enforce safety rules and compliance with MSHA, OSHA, and DOT regulations; conduct safety meetings/toolbox talks and manage direct report performance through coaching and annual evaluations.

Key Requirements

  • •Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination.
  • •Previous supervisory experience.
  • •Demonstrated ability to read and interpret safety rules, contracts, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; and ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • •Proven track record of successful job and team management from start to finish, including strong people skills and customer/employee relationship management.
  • •Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and computer skills to communicate and analyze data.
