Job Summary

Build and integrate scalable, secure backend services for TikTok Shop’s Southeast Asia e-commerce platform. Drive end-to-end shopping experiences—product browsing, checkout, shopping, refunds, and more—while working on the Shop Tab platform and merchant tools for campaigns and insights. Collaborate with product, design, and engineers globally, and apply data structures, algorithms, and computer science principles to continually improve software capabilities and testing/validation.

Key Responsibilities

•Develop efficient, highly scalable, and secured services to build and integrate e-commerce solutions for TikTok Shop.
•Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and other disciplines to explore next-generation shopping experiences.
•Build an intuitive and reliable shopping experience covering browsing, checkout, shopping, returns, and refunds.
•Develop TikTok Shop’s Shop Tab platforms and tools for merchants, clients, and businesses to manage campaigns and deliver insights.
•Research, design, and develop computer and network software, and update/extend existing software capabilities including testing and validation procedures.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Programming & System Analysis, Science (Computer Studies) or related fields.
•Experience building highly scalable backend services and systems using Java, Golang, or Python.
•Strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms, and proficiency in at least one coding language (e.g., Go, Java, C++).
•Experience developing backend systems with e-commerce products and/or a related vertical industry (monetization, retail, travel, financial services, etc.).
•Good understanding of business/technical abstraction and system module design, with large-scale website architecture experience.
