Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide proactive and strategic leadership for the scientific discipline to ensure project deliverables are achieved.
  • •Oversee complex water resources and environmental science projects, including budgets, monitoring external events, tracking hours/expenses, and supervising subcontractors, contract work, and employees.
  • •Ensure compliance with applicable Federal, State, and Local environmental laws, policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • •Oversee the use of topographic maps, aerial photographs, GPS units, and other tools to confirm project-area locations and site impacts.
  • •Lead technical aspects of contract negotiation and prepare/oversee technical reports and presentations for water resource designs and studies.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Ecology, Natural Resource Management, or a related life sciences field (or equivalent experience).
  • •15+ years of relevant post-education experience in water resources engineering with 12+ years of Environmental Science experience in a corporate environment.
  • •Strong working knowledge of water resource engineering principles and their application to environmental permitting and project issues.
  • •Strong knowledge of environmental laws, regulations, compliance practices, and record-keeping requirements.
  • •Advanced leadership and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to coordinate and direct subcontractors and interact with employees at all levels.
