Lead cost management for a large-scale data centre MEP project, overseeing budgeting, procurement, and post-contract cost control. Collaborate with engineering teams to align cost with power, cooling and infrastructure design, ensuring financial governance, risk management and value optimisation in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment.

Key Responsibilities

•Manage cost planning, budgets and cost estimates for MEP systems, ensuring alignment with project budgets and approved plans.
•Prepare tender documentation for MEP packages (electrical, HVAC, plumbing, fire protection) and oversee tender evaluation and procurement strategies.
•Manage variations, change control and interim payments; maintain cost records and support final accounts.
•Prepare regular cost reports, forecasts and cash flow analyses; identify cost risks and mitigation measures.
•Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors and vendors to ensure effective communication and governance across the project

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Cost Management, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or related discipline
•5–10 years’ experience in cost management with strong exposure to MEP systems
•Experience on data centre, mission-critical, or high-tech industrial projects is highly preferred
•Background in a cost consultancy or professional services environment is advantageous
•Professional certification (e.g. MRICS or equivalent) is an advantage
