Job Summary

Lead environmental planning and permitting strategy for capital projects across New England. Manage multiple workstreams and project teams while preparing and submitting environmental permit applications and impact assessments under NEPA, FERC, USACE, and Massachusetts EFSB/DPU processes. Serve as a siting and permitting subject-matter expert, direct routing/siting studies and reports, support business development through proposal preparation, and coordinate public involvement activities and multi-disciplinary stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

•Manage multiple environmental planning and permitting projects at various stages and locations.
•Lead project teams for key clients and support business development through client relationship management and proposal preparation.
•Prepare and submit environmental permit applications and impact assessments for a range of capital projects.
•Develop and execute public involvement program strategy, including attending open houses, public meetings, and public hearings.
•Serve as a subject-matter expert for siting and environmental permitting, directing routing/siting studies and mentoring staff.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies, Biology, Natural Sciences/Ecology, Environmental Planning, Environmental Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
•9+ years managing environmental permitting and planning projects for energy-related projects.
•Experience with Massachusetts EFSB and DPU Siting Division.
•Ability to work independently and guide mid-level to senior team/project members with strict QA/QC.
•Strong leadership and communication skills, including proposal/presentation experience and price structuring.
