Partner with product, design, and engineering across Deliveroo, DoorDash, and Wolt, driving high operational excellence through shippable delivery, technical debt management, and healthy on-call practices.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead, coach, and grow a team of ~7–8 frontend, full-stack, and backend engineers.
•Scope and break down projects into actionable, shippable work and manage scope/timeline trade-offs.
•Run team rituals including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
•Represent the team in planning and stakeholder discussions, aligning priorities with product, design, and other engineering teams.
•Maintain operational excellence through managed technical debt and SRE/healthy on-call, while staying technically engaged via architecture and design discussions.

Key Requirements

•6+ years of commercial engineering experience, including 2+ years leading a team as a Tech Lead or Engineering Manager.
•Full-stack background with primary depth in backend development (e.g. Go, Python, or Node.js), and willingness to contribute to the frontend (e.g. React).
•T-shaped profile with broad technology knowledge rather than specialization in a single one.
•Heavy adopter of AI for productivity and engineering (e.g. Claude Code) to increase delivery velocity.
•Strong communication skills and experience running complex projects spanning multiple engineering teams.
