Key Responsibilities

  • •Act as a key member of the Visa Account Executive team and serve as an innovation consultant to issuers’ senior management with ongoing strategic market insights.
  • •Develop and execute customized account plans and manage joint innovation roadmaps to increase engagement, revenue, and market share.
  • •Identify strategic innovation and development opportunities by understanding customers’ payment strategies across credit, debit, commercial, and other product platforms.
  • •Implement strategic opportunities through excellent project management with internal and client teams, influencing the client’s vision for the future of electronic payments.
  • •Expand relationships by selling and implementing Visa products and services, prepare proposals, and negotiate contractual relationships.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum 12 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or 10 years with an advanced degree, or 5 years with a PhD.
  • •12+ years of proven experience in business development, sales, or relationship management within payments, financial services, or banking.
  • •Strong track record of delivering revenue growth and managing strategic client relationships.
  • •Exceptional leadership skills, including experience managing teams in a matrixed organization.
  • •Deep understanding of the payments landscape, regulatory environment, and emerging trends (including South Africa).
