Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on mobile/field vehicles.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair truck systems including electrical/brake/cooling, starters/alternators, engine electronics, diesel steering, engines, transmissions, clutches, and differentials.
  • •Inspect/test defective equipment, road test vehicles to confirm malfunctions, and use judgment to generate and evaluate repair alternatives.
  • •Independently manage parts inventory and equipment on the company service truck, including safety checks and pre-/post-trip inspections.
  • •Document findings and upload photos/parts used via iOS and the company’s TRAIT repair-order system; complete DOT forms and other paperwork accurately.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma/GED and 3 years of related experience (or an equivalent combination such as higher education/certification or 5 years’ experience).
  • •Provide a set of hand tools necessary to perform the required job duties.
  • •Obtain ASE T8 (PMI) certification within eighteen (18) months.
  • •Pass DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical (or submit a current DOT medical card with more than four months remaining).
  • •Be at least 21 years old and hold a valid driver’s license; maintain a Driver Qualification File.
