Key Responsibilities

  • •Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections in compliance with DOT and CarMax standards using company hauler.
  • •Maintain accurate and compliant DOT logs and documentation.
  • •Load, secure, transport, and unload CarMax vehicles safely and efficiently, including freight handling, ladder climbing, and working outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • •Move vehicles between CarMax locations and approved vendors using a company-provided truck; keep equipment clean, well-maintained, and operational.
  • •Deliver vehicles accurately and on time; represent CarMax professionally when interacting with vendors, store associates, and the public.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 21.5 - 36.6 hourly

Key Requirements

  • •21 years of age or older with a valid state-issued driver’s license.
  • •Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) issued by the state.
  • •21 years of age or older with a valid state-issued driver’s license.
  • •Clean driving record with no serious violations in the past three years and meeting CarMax’s Driver Safety Evaluation criteria.
  • •2+ years of Class A CDL driving experience (Military heavy/medium tactical vehicle experience considered) OR 2+ years of Commercial Motor Vehicle driving experience at CarMax; must meet DOT & FMCSA qualification requirements.
