Job Summary

Repair and maintain construction and mechanical equipment including trucks, trailers, batch plants, paving machines, bulldozers, engines, motors, pneumatic tools, and conveyor systems. Troubleshoot issues and make economical, durable repairs; service vehicles with oil changes, greasing, fluids, filter changes, and preventative maintenance. Diagnose electrical and hydraulic problems, weld broken parts, manage parts and purchase orders, and keep the work area clean. Swing shift; duties may require physical testing.

Key Responsibilities

•Repair and maintain construction and mechanical equipment such as trucks, trailers, batch plants, paving machines, bulldozers, engines, motors, pneumatic tools, and conveyor systems.
•Troubleshoot problems and make durable repairs; dismantle devices to remove defective parts using hoists and hand tools.
•Service vehicles and equipment (oil changes, greasing, adding fluids, changing filters) and maintain preventative maintenance schedules.
•Troubleshoot and repair electrical/hydraulic systems and mechanical components including diesel and gasoline engines, transmissions, and drive trains.
•Order parts and supplies, maintain purchase orders and invoices, operate computer tools for job functions, and weld broken parts and structural members.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or GED.
•1 to 2 years of related experience.
•CDL preferred.
•Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
•Must have a current and valid driver’s license and own tools; knowledge of highway trucks, cement mixers, and construction equipment.
