Key Responsibilities

  • •Build and assemble hardware and test setups using mechanical drawings and wiring diagrams (magnet test stands, power racks, cryogenic plumbing, vacuum systems)
  • •Do hands-on wiring, soldering, and instrumentation (cables, harnesses, sensors such as thermocouples, Hall probes, strain gauges)
  • •Run experiments, set up DAQs and lab gear, log results, and flag anomalies for engineers
  • •Support cryogenic and vacuum operations (cryostats, LN2, vacuum pumps, leak-checking)
  • •Stand up and organize the R&D lab (benches, labeling, safety and cleanliness)

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 100,000 - 160,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •2+ years as a technician, mechanic, lab tech, or similar role in hardware R&D, manufacturing, automotive/EV, aerospace, electronics, or related field (exceptional hobbyist/maker experience counts)
  • •Comfort with tools and instrumentation: hand tools, basic machine/shop tools, soldering irons, crimpers, multimeters, power supplies, oscilloscopes, and basic DAQ software
  • •Ability to read and follow technical documentation: mechanical drawings, CAD prints, wiring diagrams, and written procedures
  • •High ownership and reliability: clean builds, good cable management, accurate measurements, lab organization
