Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • •Facilitate and deliver technical training for both Initial Employment Training and Post Initial Employment Training.
  • •Supervise Australian Defence Force personnel in a simulated working environment.
  • •Provide specialist skills and advice to support aviation technical training and develop customer-facing training outcomes.
  • •Design and develop training solutions and documentation that meet stakeholder requirements for both training stages.
  • •Maintain accurate electronic and hard copy training records, and guide/mentor defence trainees in best practice.

Key Requirements

  • •Demonstrated industry experience as a qualified Avionics Maintenance Engineer (AME) with significant Aviation Safety Regulations experience.
  • •Qualification in aviation avionics/structures training, including a Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Avionics) and/or Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Structures) (or higher EASA/CASA licence).
  • •Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) or proven technical training instructor experience; willingness to undertake training if you don’t have the qualification.
  • •Extensive aerospace structures experience with strong exposure to composite materials and repairs.
  • •Australian citizen eligibility to obtain/maintain a defence security clearance and be eligible to be cleared for ITAR regulations.
