Key Responsibilities

  • •Own the multi-year product strategy, prioritization, and technical execution blueprint for all third-party device integrations into the Vivint Home ecosystem.
  • •Identify and evaluate external technical partners to fill portfolio gaps and enable new-to-world smart home experiences.
  • •Define performance, security, and user experience interoperability baselines for third-party hardware to work natively in the Vivint app ecosystem.
  • •Partner with internal Core Platform Engineering, Cloud Infrastructure, and Information Security to design scalable, secure SDKs and APIs for low-latency 3P device communication.
  • •Act as the primary technical product interface to external partners, negotiate/own partner relationships, and govern lifecycle integration testing and post-launch telemetry.

Key Requirements

  • •8+ years of product management experience, including 4+ years focused on developer platforms, partner API ecosystems, IoT integrations, or connected smart home environments.
  • •Demonstrated experience leading complex technical product integrations with tier-1 consumer electronics or software enterprise partners.
  • •Proven success driving large-scale, multi-phase technical hardware or software launches across distributed, multi-disciplinary organizations.
  • •Deep technical understanding of cloud-to-cloud integrations and local wireless mesh topologies (Zigbee, Z-Wave, Thread).
  • •B.S. or M.S. in a technical field (Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or related); equivalent practical engineering experience considered.
