Job Summary

Own the end-to-end hardware validation lifecycle for autonomous drone platforms, from Altium component library creation and PCB reviews to bench measurement, system validation, and drone assembly. Conduct electrical measurements and functional tests, write structured validation and test reports, and collaborate daily with Hardware, Systems Engineering, Firmware/Software, and Procurement teams. Support bring-up of new board revisions and mentor junior technicians or interns as the team scales.

Key Responsibilities

•Maintain and expand the Altium Designer component library, including symbols, footprints, and 3D models.
•Support PCB design reviews and perform hands-on bring-up and validation of new board revisions.
•Conduct electrical measurements and functional tests using lab instruments like oscilloscopes, multimeters, and power analyzers.
•Assemble and integrate electronics into drone platforms, performing precision soldering through full system checkout.
•Write structured technical validation and test reports and collaborate daily with cross-functional teams, mentoring junior technicians or interns as needed.

Key Requirements

•A Technician ES (Electronics or Electrical Engineering), HEIG, or equivalent Swiss/European technical college diploma with hands-on background.
•Strong proficiency in Altium Designer (schematic capture, library management) and bench diagnostics.
•Precision soldering experience with micro-components (0201, 0402) and advanced surface-mount packages (QFN, BGA).
•2–3 years of practical experience as an electronics technician, ideally with drone/UAV, avionics, defense, or aerospace, including electromechanical assembly.
•Valid Swiss work permit or EU/EFTA citizenship is required.
