Key Responsibilities

  • •Own the design and technical direction of significant platform components while remaining hands-on.
  • •Deliver subsystems end to end, including design, implementation, test strategy, and production behavior.
  • •Set engineering standards across your area and lead code reviews at a level that raises the team.
  • •Mentor senior and mid-level engineers as part of the role.
  • •Partner with architecture and product management on direction before decisions are locked, especially modernization work between the payroll core and the modern stack.

Key Requirements

  • •8–12 years of hands-on software engineering with recent time at senior or staff scope where others depended on your ownership.
  • •Deep expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript with Node.js, Express, and Angular OR .NET with C#, ASP.NET Core, and Web API.
  • •Experience designing REST APIs or microservices (not only consuming them).
  • •Strong SQL and data modeling ability, including testing discipline across unit, integration, and functional levels.
