Job Summary

Own end-to-end expansion into new markets across EMEA and the Middle East, from market-entry strategy and licensing paths to product readiness, operational launch, and commercial scale-up. Partner directly with executive leadership to structure decisions, translate regulatory requirements into operating models, and shape roadmaps with Product and Engineering. Build repeatable launch systems using AI-assisted research and dashboards, and run governance for go/no-go readiness across functions.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead new country expansion strategy across EMEA and the Middle East by sizing opportunities, selecting markets, and defining how to win.
•Design market entry models including licensing paths, entity structures, and commercial models translated into on-the-ground operating requirements.
•Shape product roadmaps with Product and Engineering by translating regulatory and licensing needs into scope and sequencing for local launch and scale.
•Drive executive decision-making by presenting recommendations to leadership on market prioritization, launch readiness, and investment decisions.
•Build launch operating systems and run go/no-go governance with cross-functional sign-off, risk assessment, and mitigation plans.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: GBP 100,000 - 170,000 annually

Key Requirements

•5–8 years of experience in top-tier strategy consulting (MBB or equivalent), regulatory/financial services law, or strategy/expansion roles in fintech or payments, with market-entry or licensing-driven exposure.
•Own complex, multi-stakeholder programs end to end, including planning, execution, and executive-level updates.
•Strong operating discipline to structure multi-workstream programs, run governance cadences, manage dependencies, and drive timely decisions.
•Experience with regulatory and licensing topics in financial services (e.g., payments, e-money, banking, card issuing) and comfort engaging legal, risk, and compliance counterparts.
•Demonstrated use of AI tools in day-to-day work (e.g., regulatory research, license mapping, documentation, automation) with judgment on verification and when to involve experts.
