Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide technical delivery and project management for water resources planning and hydrology projects within the Sustainable Water Management team.
  • •Apply water resources modelling, demand management, options appraisal, and related techniques to support client decision-making.
  • •Support winning new work by developing proposals.
  • •Collaborate with the Catchment Science team across water resources, hydrogeology, water quality, catchment management, hydroecology, hydrology, and flood risk.
  • •Communicate effectively and produce high-quality, concise reports for clients and stakeholders.

Key Requirements

  • •Demonstrable experience applying water resources management tools across water resource planning in consultancy, Water Company, Regulatory, or academic settings.
  • •Understanding of UK water resources management regulatory requirements, including Water Resource Planning Guidelines.
  • •Experience in water resources planning projects such as environmental destination, water resources modelling, and/or demand management.
  • •Strong numerate and analytical skills, with the ability to analyze problems and find solutions to novel challenges.
  • •Some programming experience (Python and/or the R statistical package) would be advantageous.
