Job Summary

Support the Test Equipment Services team by calibrating, repairing, troubleshooting, and monitoring physical/dimensional and electrical test equipment to meet performance and safety standards. Work with electrical schematics and diverse electrical, physical, and mechanical equipment, often with minimal supervision and limited documentation. Maintain scheduled calibration/repair workload, perform on-site support at surrounding sites, and assist engineers with new calibration process development as needed.

Key Responsibilities

•Calibrate and repair physical/dimensional test equipment (e.g., temperature, torque, pressure, force, mass) to meet standards.
•Read electrical schematics and apply electronic theory to configure, model, build, test, and troubleshoot equipment.
•Work under minimal supervision to perform complex technical tasks with limited documentation or instructions.
•Maintain scheduled calibration and repair workload on a monthly/weekly basis and support on-site calibration/repairs at surrounding sites.
•Collaborate as part of a technical team, providing technical recommendations and potentially assisting engineers with new calibration process development.

Key Requirements

•Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
•Strong knowledge of electronic circuitry and troubleshooting skills.
•Ability to read electrical schematics.
•Experience with test equipment such as pressure/vacuum gauges, temperature indicators, TCs, scales, and torque tools.
•Ability to troubleshoot and repair using off prints or written work instructions.
