Key Responsibilities

  • •Design, build, and activate fluid distribution and exhaust systems (tanks, pumps, heat exchangers, gas panels, valves, scrubbers, and abatement) for solar cell processes.
  • •Lead cradle-to-grave project ownership, including requirements definition, design, justification, equipment procurement, build coordination, commissioning, and project management.
  • •Develop modular, scalable fluid system designs for future solar production facilities.
  • •Perform fluids/mechanical engineering work including P&ID development, equipment sizing, detailed fluid/thermal analysis, system-level CONOP development, and materials/component selection.
  • •Conduct safety/hazard assessments (e.g., FMEAs, HAZOPs) and ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, ASME, NFPA, and SEMI standards for hazardous chemical and gas handling.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, chemical, aerospace, or another engineering discipline.
  • •1+ years of hands-on build or design experience (internship, club, or competition team experience qualifies).
  • •2+ years of fluid systems design experience with gases or hazardous chemicals in manufacturing or semiconductor industries.
  • •2+ years of experience in photovoltaic, semiconductor, or thin-film deposition manufacturing.
  • •Knowledge of safety protocols for handling hazardous gases/chemicals (e.g., pyrophoric and toxic materials) and standards such as ASME B31.3 and SEMI S2/S8.
