Key Responsibilities

  • •Control the process to produce concrete from raw ingredients and additives according to predetermined specifications using computer batching software.
  • •Verify correct admixtures and dosages, and confirm the batched concrete meets company/customer specifications.
  • •Adjust batching weights and quantities as needed to maintain specifications.
  • •Maintain a safe work environment by following company policies and OSHA/MSHA regulations and using required PPE.
  • •Oversee cleaning of the central mix plant, monitor inventories (cement, flyash, admixtures), and support plant maintenance and preventive maintenance.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum high school education or GED required.
  • •Previous related experience as a Batch Plant Operator, including knowledge of mix designs and components (desirable).
  • •Thorough working knowledge of computer/batching system and the ability to verify loads for yardage, mix, added products, and other quality information.
  • •Ability to safely and efficiently operate equipment, receive and inspect raw materials, and keep required records and logs.
  • •Ability to perform plant maintenance/preventive maintenance, inspect equipment/facilities for mechanical problems, and relay issues to the supervisor.
