Key Responsibilities

  • •Practise as an autonomous and accountable professional using reflective practises and clinical reasoning in undertaking specialist assessment to provide individualised assessments and interventions for each patient.
  • •Provide information, education and support for clients, families and carers.
  • •Obtain informed, valid consent on an ongoing basis and involve patients in their health care plan.
  • •Liaise with colleagues to coordinate patient treatment and ongoing aftercare.
  • •Promote dignity, privacy and safety, considering the patient’s cultural, spiritual and personal needs.

Key Requirements

  • •Degree in Occupational Therapy

  • •Proven up-to-date knowledge and experience in a variety of conditions with babies, children and young people including neurology, neurodevelopment, DCD and sensory processing
  • •Knowledge of standardised paediatric assessments and outcome measures and competent in administering and analysing them
