Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide technical inputs for complex drainage and/or flood engineering projects across major infrastructure and development sectors.
  • •Deliver drainage designs, stormwater management plans, and hydraulic assessments for local council clients and major infrastructure projects.
  • •Provide specialised hydrologic and hydraulic analysis using tools such as Civil 3D, 12d, TUFLOW, DRAINS, URBS, RORB, XP-Rafts and WBNM.
  • •Develop practical solutions to drainage, flooding, and water quality challenges and produce high-quality technical and non-technical reports.
  • •Support project teams with technical guidance, mentoring, quality assurance, and client/regulator/stakeholder engagement.

Key Requirements

  • •Proven drainage and/or flood modelling experience (circa 5-15 years+), including planning, hydraulic assessment and design of stormwater/drainage networks or hydrologic modelling.
  • •Confident use of software such as Civil 3D and/or 12d, and/or TUFLOW or similar hydraulic modelling tools; plus experience with URBS, XP-Rafts and/or similar hydrologic modelling tools.
  • •Strong technical capability across underground and surface water drainage systems for major infrastructure delivery in a consulting engineering environment.
  • •Ability to provide technical leadership, design review and mentoring within multidisciplinary teams.
  • •RPEQ support: recognition as an engineer in design delivery; RPEQ or ability to apply for RPEQ is preferred.
