Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate the assigned unit/plant from the control panel, adjust conditions and flows, and take immediate corrective action for abnormalities or malfunctions.
  • •Maintain radio communication with field operators, update control room logs/registers, and execute proper shift handover.
  • •Follow work instructions and SOPs, monitor system abnormalities, and normalize equipment as directed.
  • •Perform initial diagnostic checks for equipment malfunctions, correct faults when required, or raise work requests and follow up on defect rectification.
  • •Adhere to HSE and environmental procedures, monitor environmental regulatory parameters, and ensure Lock Out & Tag Out during maintenance isolation.

Key Requirements

  • •Technical Diploma in Engineering
  • •3-5 years’ experience in control room operations in power/water desalination units
  • •Knowledge of plant equipment and control room operations
  • •Awareness of HSE and quality standards
  • •Extensive knowledge of operating systems such as DCS, SCADA, PLC, plus downtime analysis and problem-solving tools
