Job Summary

Help advance the venue’s zero-waste and sustainability programs by leading post-show sorting and educating others on recycling, composting, and landfill procedures. You’ll partner with the Venue Sustainability Coordinator as part of the venue operations team, supporting employee engagement initiatives and engaging fans through activities and education. This seasonal, part-time role for show days varies by schedule and requires hands-on, physical participation.

Key Responsibilities

•Assist in post-show sorting of all recycling, composting, and landfill materials.
•Serve as an ambassador to band members, helping them understand their role in achieving venue sustainability goals.
•Support employee engagement programs such as water bottle refill punch cards, post-show sort giveaways, and new ideas.
•Engage fans and encourage participation in sustainability programs through activities or education.
•Participate in Zero Waste Captain training.

Key Requirements

•Passion for the environment and experience in events management and/or operations.
•Strong organization and effective communication, with the ability to provide direction and also jump in as needed.
•Ability to spend most of the shift walking, bending, reaching, stooping, and lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs, with significant time spent sorting materials.
•Must be able to work well with other departments and support teamwork.
•Positive attitude and a creative, problem-solving mindset; experience in events and zero-waste events is a plus.
