Key Responsibilities

  • •Design, develop, and maintain PLC-based control systems for industrial machinery, using modular, reusable, configurable control architectures.
  • •Develop operator interfaces (HMI) including alarm visualization, user roles, diagnostics, and recipe management to support consistent workflows.
  • •Configure and commission motion systems, drives, industrial I/O, and integrate industrial communication protocols; tune performance to meet throughput and quality targets.
  • •Design, implement, and validate machine safety solutions in compliance with applicable safety standards, supporting safety commissioning/validation and documentation.
  • •Commission machines in factory and customer environments; diagnose and resolve control system, motion, and HMI issues and support FAT/SAT using diagnostics, logging, and performance data.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • •Typically 4–7 years in industrial automation, machine controls, or PLC software development (3–5 years with an advanced degree).
  • •Experience developing PLC-based control systems for industrial machinery, including sequencing logic/state machines and process control.
  • •Hands-on knowledge of IEC 61131-3 Structured Text programming and industrial networking protocols such as PROFINET/PROFIBUS, POWERLINK, Ethernet/IP, and OPC UA.
  • •Experience with commissioning, diagnostics/troubleshooting, and supporting Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) in factory and customer environments.
