Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide non-medical, short-term, solution-focused CYB counseling to eligible children and youth, including assessment, brief counseling/consultation, action planning, referrals, and follow-up.
  • •Support DoDEA/community school staff and assigned youth programs and provide parent training and guidance.
  • •Conduct training and health and wellness presentations, participate in health fairs, and engage in base/installation activities focused on children and youth.
  • •Maintain accurate daily counselor activity data through a smartphone or web application while preserving confidentiality and anonymity of service/family members.
  • •Partner with installation and program points of contact, participate in supervision and in-services/training, and manage restricted reporting/duty to warn situations per DoD protocol.

Key Requirements

  • •Master’s degree from an accredited graduate program in a mental health related field.
  • •Valid unrestricted independent counseling license as an independent practitioner (LCSW, LMFT, or LPC).
  • •Less than 2 years of post-licensure clinical experience.
  • •Demonstrate intermediate-level technology and software competencies (e.g., Microsoft Suite, internet navigation, smartphone/tablet and app navigation, and video-conferencing platform navigation).
  • •Ability to prove US citizenship, be fluent in English, and successfully pass required background checks and NACI/IRC/FBI fingerprint checks.
