Key Responsibilities

  • •Own PC&R’s approach to AML control design and risk detection strategy.
  • •Collaborate with AML product teams to design controls and interpret global regulation for Wise’s in-house AML capabilities.
  • •Use data to define AML control effectiveness and support an ongoing testing/assurance program.
  • •Work with Product and Engineering teams to implement and prioritize control improvements, improving efficiency and operational processes.
  • •Plan and facilitate end-to-end implementation of improvements identified via audits, regulatory feedback, incidents, or third parties, and perform periodic control reviews.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: GBP 89,000 - 127,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum 7 years’ experience in AML/financial crime, with a focus on implementing and enhancing AML controls (e.g., transaction monitoring and risk detection).
  • •Experience improving typology-based AML coverage, alerting/decisioning, and overall control effectiveness.
  • •Experience collaborating with product and engineering teams to build AML and/or financial crime controls in an in-house product environment.
  • •Strong data analytics skills to define what “good” looks like and convert performance insights into control changes.
  • •CAMS or ICA certification is desirable.
