Key Responsibilities

  • •Learn and operate required plant systems under direction across all operating conditions.
  • •Operate turbine-generators and auxiliaries, observing and recording instrument readings to ensure safe operation within prescribed limits during start-up, shutdown, and normal conditions.
  • •Perform maintenance and troubleshooting for pneumatic and/or electric control instruments, including calibration, testing, repair, and installation of mechanical/electrical/electronic sensing and control apparatus.
  • •Conduct predictive maintenance and plant performance evaluations; administer and maintain maintenance and inventory control, collecting associated data.
  • •Maintain station logs and complete required plant documents (e.g., work orders, purchase requests), ensure safety and regulatory/environmental compliance, and ensure proper turnover of information between shifts.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • •Experience with electric generating equipment and operations, including repair and maintenance of turbine generators (desired, not mandatory).
  • •Valid driver’s license and must be insurable by the company’s vehicle insurance carrier.
  • •Ability to learn new skills self-taught and under instruction.
  • •Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to solve complex problems and respond to plant emergencies/call-ins.
