Job Summary

Support the business across crypto, web3, fintech, and payments by advising product and commercial teams on regulatory design, structuring, and launches. Work across multiple jurisdictions to interpret fast-evolving rules, produce practical regulatory analysis (including token/product classification), and lead or support licensing applications. Review marketing and customer-facing materials for compliance, draft and negotiate commercial contracts, and help build scalable guidance and playbooks.

Key Responsibilities

•Advise product and business teams on design, structuring, and launch of new products and features, balancing commercial goals and regulatory requirements.
•Assess how crypto and web3 products fit within regulatory frameworks, flagging when licensing, registration, or structuring changes are needed.
•Produce regulatory analysis on issues like token classification, financial product/index classification, derivatives, and DeFi and turn it into practical business positions.
•Lead and support license applications end to end, including submissions, responding to regulators, and tracking conditions and obligations.
•Embed compliance into product design (including AML, KYC, sanctions, and travel rule) and review marketing/customer-facing materials for regulatory compliance.

Key Requirements

•Qualified lawyer with 4 to 7 years PQE, ideally in-house, with direct experience advising crypto or web3 businesses.
•Strong working knowledge of regulatory frameworks for crypto, web3, fintech, or financial services and the ability to apply them to real products.
•Working knowledge of financial promotions and advertising/marketing regulation for financial or crypto products, including paid placement, sponsorship, and disclosure requirements.
•Familiarity with regulation of trading, brokerage, or market infrastructure activities and the ability to recognize when a product crosses into regulated activity.
•Comfort working across multiple jurisdictions and under tight deadlines, with clear communication skills (including explaining regulatory issues to non-lawyers).
