Key Responsibilities

  • •Ongoing management of third-party reinsurance including discussions on industry trends, rate setting and other new business opportunities.
  • •Research and analyze potential new markets, companies and products for reinsurance opportunities.
  • •Work with primary deal leads and pricing team to analyze due diligence materials, create pricing models and produce indicative quotes and management materials.
  • •Provide support for all phases of a transaction process, including initial target identification, transaction structuring, contract negotiation, closing and post-close management.
  • •Lead the production of product and treaty summaries for new transactions, highlighting key actuarial, reporting and operational agreements.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in mathematics or any quantitative field with either a Fellow qualification of a widely recognized actuarial body or a CFA designation.
  • •Minimum six years’ experience in either the life insurance/reinsurance industry or investment banking, with strong expertise in the financial services/insurance sector.
  • •Solid understanding of insurance liabilities with knowledge of fixed rate and indexed annuities.
  • •Demonstrated stakeholder management skills including prior experience in a client-facing or consulting role with ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • •Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite of applications; experience using AI tools (such as ChatGPT or similar platforms) to enhance productivity is preferred.
