Key Responsibilities

  • •Prepare certification documentation (certification plans, similarity/compliance reports, qualification plans/reports) and define test pass/fail criteria.
  • •Coordinate internal/external certification activities with DERs, ODAs, DOAs, OEMs, and FAA/CAAs or foreign regulatory agencies to meet requirements.
  • •Conduct reviews of complex analyses and tests for new designs, materials, and methods to ensure regulatory compliance and provide feedback.
  • •Review complex drawings and reports for regulatory conformity, including document clarity, completeness, form/fit/function, and alignment to standards/specifications.
  • •Research applicable regulations and generate documentation in response to customer/integrator and FAA/foreign regulator requests; support certification efficiency improvements.

Key Requirements

  • •Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Civil engineering (per FAA agreement).
  • •Typically requires a STEM degree and at least 2 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field.
  • •Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the company’s immigration sponsorship now or in the future.
  • •Familiarity with certification and testing of airplane interior components.
  • •Preferred: working knowledge of PMA/TSO/STC/OEM qualification and certification, and experience reviewing/approving drawings.
