Key Responsibilities

  • •Administer and monitor underwriting rules, rating manual rules, and applicable insurance laws/regulations.
  • •Develop and collaborate with Line of Business representatives to support business-related needs.
  • •Manage relationships with distributors (agents and brokers) to support retention and acquisition and determine insurance needs.
  • •Serve as a Help Point for agents, brokers, and customers to support the organization’s sales culture.
  • •Proactively identify renewal and new account opportunities and perform detailed opportunity assessment with key distributors; make broker/customer and on-sight calls.

Salary: USD 87,200 - 142,700 annually

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma or Equivalent with 3+ years in Underwriting or a market-facing area, or 6+ years in Claims/Underwriting Support.
  • •Knowledge of line(s) of business and legal/regulatory underwriting guidelines.
  • •Knowledge of time restraints for quotes on new and renewal business.
  • •Experience in Microsoft Office.
  • •Preferred: Bachelor’s degree and/or Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice with related underwriting/market-facing experience.
