Job Summary

Join the Air Defense Ground Equipment Mechanical Design Department to support mechanical design, development, and integration for ground-based defense platform systems. You’ll investigate manufacturing and supplier change requests, develop rework/modification procedures, and support the full product lifecycle from concept through detailed design, release to production, and post-production support. Partner with cross-functional teams and suppliers, lead design peer reviews and trade studies, and mentor less experienced engineers.

Key Responsibilities

•Investigate and resolve change requests from manufacturing or suppliers.
•Develop rework or modification procedures to support product updates.
•Support the product lifecycle from concept definition through detailed design, release to production, and post-production support for ground-based defense systems including effectors.
•Work closely with other engineering disciplines, non-technical functions, and suppliers to develop robust design solutions and resolve technical challenges.
•Participate in design peer reviews, resolve action items, conduct trade studies, manage tasks to deliver on technical/schedule/financial commitments, and mentor less experienced engineers.

Key Requirements

•Typically requires a STEM degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree.
